Smiley Moosa calls in ZIM (this weekend only) per current Sporting Post.

Do we have that many competent race-callers that Smiley should be relegated to this backwater, even if for only one meeting ?

I believe that he deserves another chance to make good here. The problem that he had with Graeme appeared to have been a personality clash more than anything else.
Perhaps there will be a new opportunity for him now with Graeme moving on and with Clyde Basel having so many other duties to racing.

Cant see him calling in gauteng as we have 2 calling here, maybe he could call in cape town?

As someone who has never heard Smiley commentate (20 years hard labour for me),but by the comments he sounds charismatic and proficient, why not give him the odd stint locally.

And as you say Franklin, opportunities abound with the relocation of Trojan Hawkins and the multi-tasking wunder-kid Basel's multiple mantles, would be opportune time to give him a go.

Who says CTown will have him ? It wasn't only 'Graeme' he had a'personality clash' with - he is the biggest loose cannon since the Battle of Trafalgar.

We had Smiley posting on here towards the end of last year, it was a sort of Smiley Press Release and I think opinion was divided on Smiley's personality but not his calling ability.

Like Gary, I also think PE needs a new caller.
