Email/FaceBook hacked

Hi everyone.

Just to let you know that should anyone receive an email saying I have been mugged in Malaysia, abducted to Manilla or the like, I'm fine! I had my private email and subsequently my FaceBook page hacked. Have hopefully sorted out the problem but lost all my contacts in my email so can't even send a message to say 'I'm here to stay'.

To those who have already contacted me to find out how I am - thanks. Good to know there are some wonderful caring friends out there.

Have a happy weekend' racing!
Debbie

@Debbie:

The one method is via a USB/Flash Drive.

Don't open it if from some unknown source or friends who've been to IT cafe's.

I have found MSE (download from microsoft via google) highly efficient and don't use any other anti-viruses.

As long as you scan every stick, shouldn't have a problem.

I also had my IP address hacked into and started receiving strange emails from Mars!

Glad to hear you are OK Debbie. I also received the strange e-mail which I read this morning suggesting the hotel manager was holding you hostage for payment and you were in imminent danger of missing your return flight. Thought it very strange indeed especially the apparent fact that you had gone to Manilla for a break !!!

Thanks everyone. I had a number of calls from South Africa to see if I was okay including Nico from Tellytrack which I really appreciated. Even heard from a friend who I haven't spoken to in almost 3 years so I believe some good came out of someone's bad intentions.

Thanks Dave - betting vouchers would have been good!!

We got your message Deb, but I have had a similar experience with another friend of mine who was seemingly stranded somewhere in Central Africa. She's a concert pianist, but hardly likely to have been playing in Kigali, or wherever, so we smelled a rat. I immediately knew the one about you was a hoax. But you've got to stop frequenting those sleazy bars in Manila!
