Wow, took me 20 minutes to get through this thread ::o ...some gr8 posts and analysis. Thanks for input Grograce, and plenty contributions Fifty2One.... I personally think Masked Lady was flattered by the closing on Princess Creo. Cormack in my opinion eased off the gas when the leader got away in PC 's last race. The odds are ludicrous though.

What the heck you guys see in The WitchDoctor has got me bamboozled ... was going to brass this one but will reluctantly add.

So what do you fancy in The Which Doctor's race?

@Frodo ..... that would be telling (:D ..... also the Earths Orbit race is a field race in my opinion. If I had to label one, and I did take some doubles with it... Jeans Pride.

Frodo when I spoke to Striker last week he told me the 1600 is too short for Pomodoro and this is a prep run for the Met. We do however know that Striker always talks down his mounts. Even though this is a Group 1 race with the Met 3 weeks away in recon the Met is the target for many of the fancied runners but this is Variety Club's mission. Even from the draw would be very surprised if Variety Club got beat, he is the best miler in the Country.

Can't fault your reasoning - but I'm still including Pomodoro just in case ::o

Just take note that Ramsdens horses have not been in the best form!

Madji the flip side to the Cormack comment about easing up - dont you think the horse had not much more come, rather than the winner getting away, if anything, i don't believe PC could have gone any faster and maintained the finishing distance between itself and Masked Lady, one clearly had enough whilst the other seemed to find it's feet late (just my opinion). However for Grograce's sake, let's hope it puts up a better effort, maybe it needs to learn to settle. What we all agree on, the price is far too short based on it's exposed form.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Frodo, much that we agree on... (tu)

R1 Tributory for me with no huge confidence
R2 Will go for Masked Lady
R3 Platinum Lady
R4 I'm just not with the hype on Earth's Orbit. It could easily win of course but I prefer the look of Miss Ipanema with Jeans Pride and Dumani thereabouts
R5 If she overcomes the draw then Beach Beauty is the obvious one. Similar problem regarding the draw but Happy Archer may follow her home. With the draw and prices in mind though I'll be having an e/w flutter on Frequent Flyer
R6 Casual Var is the one that interests me the most and a decent e/w bet imo. Cap Alright to complete a stable exacta and Jinzo for value in the trifecta
R7 The Which Doctor, my strongest fancy of the day. Capt Lullaby for the exacta and Splendid Sun for value in the trifecta
R8 At the price I find it difficult to nominate Variety Club from that draw. Slumdog e/w is the way I'll go. Bravura is one that interests me a little of the bigger priced ones
R9 Bayern's earlier comments regarding True Master were tempting but in the end I preferred Unencumbered. Parker with PS up thereabouts and not to be ignored and (added as en edit...) Act Fast also has some appeal
R10 Blake the likely winner but I have an annoying itch going about Barossa Valley :) Two Strikes for the trifecta

The (original idiots lol) semi-idiots e/w patent...
R5 Frequent Flyer
R8 Slumdogmillionairre
R10 Barossa Valley

Pipe Smoker win doubles and e/w trebles and accumulator...
R4 Miss Ipanema
R6 Casula Var
R7 The Which Doctor
R9 Unencumbered

Be(s)t of luck to all (tu)

Here's something to ponder On LBH on formgrids Razzle Dazzle rose is faster than beach beauty and 2 kgs better of if it was drawn better you could have a bet but don't leave it out @ 33/1

Not too bad really when you consider that he has only saddled 2 favorites in his last 50 runners and still managed 25 stake cheques...also take into account the horses form VC has not been out the first 2 since May of 2011
Give everything but up!
