I accept like a man if i tipped shit and take it on the chin but i won't take it if it this outcome..... i am not stupid....clearly the vaal sand racecourse is a disgrace.....

Seriously I have never seen the field spread out over such short distances,look like a jumps meeting

1st - 2nd - 1st - 3rd - 2nd - 3rd - 1st - 1st - 2nd - 1st - Unplaced ... That's where the favorites ran in the 11 races.

Most people backed 5 winners, and in their other six races, 3x seconds and a pair of thirds.

Punters were on top yesterday imo

i also thought it was a good day for punting...runners on the sand are generally strung out all the time

Dont usually play the sand locally,got involved on Sat.after watching NA's bettingworld show.
Long time since i saw a guest(Rod Mcc) make a horse(medow magic) the best sporting prospect for the weekend and place 1k win.
Then on Monday,Heyuneverknow ran in Kimberely,odds on and lost.
Lastly,thanks to Rob Faux and his assertment of Pylon.

Personally I don't believe Vaal sand is a good advert for racing in spite of having a pretty good day so I am not unhappy with yesterdays results BUT

as a generalisation,never confuse price with form...........backed horses can indicate manipulation as much as it can indicate form.

recently a horse ,well held on form ,was heavily backed (having enjoyed a reduced MR by 5.5Kg) and when it was discussed some saw it as a form result ,due to price............nothing could have been further from the truth!

I am not suggesting for one minute there was any "strange" results yesterday..............just a principle to bear in mind!.....measure form not price when assessing consistency.

funny how last week i had a go at the vaal sand and everyone told me how great it was..now a different tune
