Felt sorry for LW after watching the TAB punters competition.
He had a few jackpots running and he never included Stryker in last leg.

The Racing Association wishes to announce that Larry Wainstein will resign from the board with effect from 01 Aug 2012 to take up office as CEO, with William Nsele taking over as Chairman of the board.

I THINK his posistion on the board was part-time - now he will be full-time - but yes, I wonder if there were any other applicants for the job?

I'm probably stupid, but I still can't see any value in joining the RA, so for me, nothing significant has changed since Larry took over - so maybe you can enlighten us (me) on how he turned it around?

frodo look at the members of ra, much more than before so they must be do some thing right? like any thing in life we have the choices, you chose not to join many like me are happy to be members. you must race in the dump of furious room but i can race in luxury in elevation room that is top class. for me that is worth joining ra, no?? also you park with the plebs i park in ra car park. for a grand a year what you expect, free meals all year???
and gareth you are wrong nsele is hr director at ntc which is not the listed company.

Flash, as you say, to each his own,
How do you know that there are now 'many more members than before' ? (genuine question)
For me, the Furious is actually preferable, as they would not allow me to bring my kids into the 'luxurious' Elevation Room - I park with 'the plebs' - but really my car does not mind it so much - and apart from being a little closer, what else is better in the 'RA' car park?
At more than a grand a year, I am definitely not joining any time soon.
But - if they would introduce some kind of loyalty programme and give me some real perks, I will reconsider. As and example, some years ago, (when I was a member) there used to be a day in the season when the members were treated to lunch (I think drinks were for your own bill) - then they put up the fees (more than double if I remember correctly) and discontinued the 'free lunch' - and I chose to not renew my membership.
