Race calling is a younger mans game. Most callers go backwards after they hit their mid 40s, particularly if they are confronted with big fields and awkward angles.

In Australia SKY Channel offer an annual scholarship for an up and coming caller -- includes some guaranteed race calling work, and general work at the station. We have a lot more meetings and the trots and dogs as well, so that a younger face can break in.

Exciting double chance when Bumpy commentates..................out the PA..............oh goodie another bad call ...........my runner came 2nd......pull the ticket out the bin........lol.
