Liverpool fans, do we like Brendan Rodgers as manager?

Lets hope they give him a chance and he's not sacked by xmas. Ferguson won nothing in his first three seasons at Manure.

LFC Belongs in the top 4 but as long as we have players like Henderson, Lucas, Downing we going nowhere. If it wasn't for the Carling Cup we not see Europe this yr. Even that win was not convincing and we were lucky.

We need a new Goalkeeper for sure, two new exciting creative midfielders, a strong wingman and Carragher needs to retire now. We need young fresh blood in our team. Give Coates a chance, he will shine. Even Captain Fantastic had a really bad season. How many times has he taken the shot from outside the box, no confidence at all. Carrol and Saurez cant shine on their own, they need creative midfielders behind them. So sick and tired of the boring, defensive attitude that they have. That back passing is sickening.

Hope Rodgers gets a good budget to invest in some decent proven players this season. Wish him all the best.

Have to agree with you Punter, some of those players they bought are NOT Liverpool material imo. Maybe Rodgers is what LIVERPOOL need, he isn't a high profile manager, good luck to em...

Greg but that's exactly the problem. Rodgers is not a high profile manager who has managed a team value of under 10 million pounds. Now he has a team of high profile players and needs to adjust mentally to the squad he now has. We wasted over 40 million pounds on signing british flops. Seriously hope that Rodgers gets the chance to sign proven players and that he is wiser then King Kenny. Management were wrong in sacking Kenny in his 1st season back but Kenny lacked alot of knowledge in the signing players department and I think that's what got him sacked.

Think he is a good appointment (admittedly not my first choice!!) . He has a nice presence about him. He is a student of the game and I hope the fans give him time!!
His first job is def going to be getting rid of the dead weight, do it early, and bring in some fresh blood!! He will def have a transfer kitty of sorts! Swansea played some good football last season, the kind Liverpool used to play, and tried to play under Kenny. I think Steve Clarke will stay on as assistant, which will be great news!!

I'm tired of hearing it, my boet has been telling me that for the last 20 years now...<

@ Punter, remember, Kenny was not in charge of signings (sure he had a say), that was Damien Comolli, which is why the sacked him too, lol, but i think Kenny lacked the technical knowledge of the modern game to keep up to the top sides! Brendan Rodgers will be a good manager given time to prove himself! Mourinho took him to chelsea to coach the reserves, so he saw something in him, and he would have had experience with big egos, and big name players at Chelsea.

Haha... one year, hopefully that comes true!! <

Good Appointment did really well at the swans, lets hope we start rebuilding and he has an eye
for gd young talent like Wenger

Yep Gordo agree 100 % . I seriously want him to shine at LFC. Swansea played very good football last season.

Buddy honestly I don't know any other managers beside Wenger and Fergie that have excellent eyes for young talent. I mean where is Dani Pacheco ?
