Latest Fraudulent letter going around, these people must think we are stupid!!

This fund emanated as a result of an over-invoiced contract which he executed with the Government of South Africa. Though I assisted him in getting this contract but I never knew that it was over-invoiced by him. I am afraid that the government of South Africa might start to investigate on contracts awarded from 1990 to date. If they discover this money in his bank account, they will confiscate it and seize his assets here in South Africa and this will definitely affect my political career in, government. I want your assistance in opening an account with bankers through my banker so that this fund could be wired into your account directly without any hitch. I am offering you 20% of the principal sum which amounts to S$6,100.000.00 (Six million One Hundred Thousand United States Dollars Only) and 5% will be for any expenses that both of us may Insure in this transaction. And another 5% will go for Motherless babes home.

Extraordinary.
I nearly fell for one such but it's now many years in the past.
I went with a friend to Soho to play snooker in a club. We had found the address of the club in the London "Time Out" magazine.
At the entrance someone asked for 1 pound to let us in and I was nearly ready to give it to him. But my friend noticed it was dark and there were also debris lying around. There was no snooker club any longer, the place was abandoned and it was the local pickpocket !

Got this same letter 3 ago at my Yahoo account e-mail, it is not really aimed at South Africans but it is to lure some idiot schmucks abroad that think Africans are stupid and these things happen here as they did in Nigeria Ghana Ivory Coast etc. I almost got some guy to meet me with the cops at the old Balfour shopping centre, but these guys are not that stupid. They looking to handle you over the internet and not face to face.

I get about 4/.5 of them a day, also ones from ladies who says they have seen your profile and it's "my dear" this and "my dear" that hoping to entice a lonely soul to write back and then to start milking him dry for his money, most of the times I just delete it but here and there i read one to keep up to date with the latest versions and laugh myself sick for the language they use and how stupid they think we are.(

There was this guy in the races once who shouted at the top of his voice "George - George - George". As the place was crowded it was natural to assume he was together with a fellow called George and they lost one another. But day, after day, after day he was doing the same thing. One day I saw him downtown trying to lure tourists into cabaret halls. What was the trick ? Maybe if you approached him he was going to tell you he had a sure thing but his friend George with the money lost his way.

I saw this guy....who looked desperate.....and he asked me for some money to buy bananas and bread for his wife and 2 kids (who were apparently waiting for him at the petrol garage). I gave this poor soul some money and he seemed very grateful.

Needless to say i have seen him plenty times after that.....no kids, no wife!!

He came to me a few days ago and started with the same story. I took him nicely by the arm and asked him to show me where his wife and kids are. He pulled away and ran away from me.

Anyway the race goer is a species who can tell the lies of politicians form miles away.
When they say we shall buid bridges and rivers the race goer smells the rat.
The rest are sound asleep.
A usual trick used by the politicians & associated media is to downgrade info. There is, say, a huge strike today in the town of Salonika. They won't mention it, if possible to get away with it. Instead you hear about the visit of some deputy minister to the new dam somewhere in the country. So the populus Italicus eats the weed.

I was approached by a guy in the local shopping centre parking lot the other day ... he was like a sticky fly and carried on and on about how hungry he was and did I have money for bread, "Give me some bread missus, give me some bread!!" So when I went into the shop I bought him a loaf of bread ... brown. When he started his dirge again after I came back to the car, I pulled the loaf out of my shopping bag and gave it to him. You should have seen his face.

Mind you, I remember helping with a soup kitchen in Pretoria once, soup and sandwiches we gave to anyone who turned up. After a couple of weeks they came to us complaining because we gave them brown bread ... they wanted white.

I have chosen Autism to be my "cause" as I have an Autistic son and have seen how many needy families are battling with the expenses relating to this affliction,so my contributions are aimed accordingly.
I explain this to the endless other charity requests with reasonable success,but I get miffed with the Robot and shopping centre beggars that Mav. describes.................I have found a very good foil to the "won't take no" nagging ...........try the "do you take credit cards"............works like a charm!
