I have worked for some big punting yards, on one occasion the trainer told a couple of his mates about a certain horse that would win at any price, by the time the owner was informed the horse was 2/1, there was nothing left for him, the horse won, next day the horses were moved to another trainer, From witnessing this many years ago, made me have the attitude i do, owning a horse is an expensive business, it is there prerogative to try and recoup some of the money they have out laid as an owner

so lassie if you had a horse that was even money favourite everyones banker in the pa and running in race 5 but it had setbacks in training and it would need the run badly to bring it on do you not think punters have the right to be notified of this or is ok if they do their money in cold blood?please note im not asking about who the horse worked with but merely the wellbeing of the horse

Gav is top notch. Always adding spice to the position and the best part is that he has a fantastic way of pissing some trainers off with his honest comment........ WAY TO GO GAV.

If it was even money favorite, and had set backs in work, that I could not resolve, it won't be running at all !!!!!!

ok lassie let me put it to you another way then if you had a horse with great form and it was coming back from a layoff of 3 months or more and it was even money and you knew it needed the run do you not think the punters have a right to know about the fitness and wellbeing of the horse after the rest ?

the most amazing thing is that the site we are on is called african betting clan which strives to improvethings for the punter who through his or hers hard earned cash actually funds the stakes which owners earn from races...THE MOST unbelievable thing is lassie now works for mr marcus jooste who in interviews has said he is not a punter and we all know that he sits on the phumela and or the ra board, both organisations whose major focus is TO INCREASE TURNOVER but we as punters are not allowed access to so called privileged information..it simply doesnt make sense to me....on the other hand i would like to thank the many trainers and owners who do share their information about their runners with us and do not have the archaic attitude that lassie and a few other people in the industry have...yes lassie if its in the 5th race its to late change my exotic bets...
