I was at the track, watched the race had money on Pomodoro, however IMO Anton should have been given the race.

its very simple alcaponee in this country our breeders trainers and jockeys are top class but the people that run the show are 3rd world and useless therefore the state of the industry is shambolic...

They should never have meddled with the objection rules that worked (and were easy to understand) for years and years.
Almost all the recent meddling in racing ,in the interests of improvement, has just caused more problems.

Agree with Pirates re horses coming back. It was anything BUT a light bump. Rob Faux also spot on.

if pomodoro won the race outright and an objection was lodged royal bencher would have had more chance of getting the race outright...the fact that it was a group one race and not a run of the mill race swayed the stipes decision

Pirates I can't understand..you will know mate..if an objection was upheld how could they come over the intercom and say it was over-ruled which is what happened?

Took the below screen dump just as Royal Bencher was side swiped, thought i would put it up as a reminder to the stipes...
It shows Pomodoro leaning in with the whip in the wrong hand and Royal Bencher still of balanced
