Obviously Barry dont make mistakes.....the mare proven very very unreliable.....she had a champ very long time ago but nothing of note since when formgrids started updating the pedigrees of the foals of mares that raced....well done Barry, good call and you made your money....

I was discussing the same issue with a couple of mates from ABC.

I think I might have posted this comment before.

Cavlista......Bred buy Team Valor.
If it was so good then why did they sell.

From what I know Dr M Thomson owned the mare and bred Cataloochee (a champion three-year-old) I presume the horse was in foal when Northfields bought her in 2009 at a dispersal sale. Team Valor is the breeder of only this foal not the previous foals so it seems that Mr Irwin bought only recently. If she was so unreliable why did Barry buy her?

Let's not cry if we backed Cavlista. It was tipped here with the best of intentions. Its our decision whether to follow information or not. Pointless making Bushy feel guilty.
We'll always want to know about first timers that are rumoured to be good. Then, it's a process of weighing up the price/stable/jockey and deciding whether to wager or not.
Can't someone find out about Woodruff first timers before the betting ? Lol - then we would be in business !!

barry is a businessman, loves his horses and make money with his horses...selling or breeding or racing.....Barry started with almost nothing and have build an empire....just think how much value his name gives a horse....it doesnt make the horse better, just gives the horse so much more value....something like Richard Branson with his Virgin Trademark...Barry will sell the other offspring also for millions .....he know how to make money
