BLACK CAVIAR

Black Caviar, the unbeaten Australian sprinter, will have two starts in that country in coming weeks before traveling to England for the Royal Ascot meeting in June, her trainer Peter Moody said earlier this week.
A winner of 19 races, all in Australia, Black Caviar is being pointed for two races over about six furlongs on turf at Morphettville Racecourse in Adelaide – the $400,000 Sportingbet Classic on April 29 and the $500,000 Goodwood Stakes on May 12.
Black Caviar will be flown to England in late May or early June for two expected starts in Group 1 races over six furlongs on turf in that country – the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot on June 23 and the July Cup at Newmarket on July 14.
Tuesday, Black Caviar worked about a half-mile at Caulfield Racecourse.

Black Caviar has returned to light training as a decision on her racing career moves nearer. (Contrary to what has been reported a decision to return BC to training is still pending).

Seriously? If she's not a superstar, then what is?
She's unbeaten in 22 starts.
She won a Gr1 in England, her only start there, and 11 in Australia.
Like it or not, Australia are the world leaders when it comes to turf sprinters.
Australia's pool of racehorses is second in size only to the USA, or about the same size as UK/FR/IRE/GER/ITA combined (about 4 times larger than SAf).
Ortensia won a Gr1 in Dubai, England and Australia.
J J the Jet Plane won the same race in Dubai when it was a Gr2, and beat Ortensia in Hong Kong (admittedly giving her a bit of weight), by about two lengths.
In Australia, Black Caviar beat Ortensia by more than 6 lengths.
How is it that Black Caviar will get beaten easily in Dubai? If she was at her best, unlike when she won her Gr1 in England, who would beat her?

Some poor horses need to walk on water before some people will admit they are champs -

Black Caviar may race into the cover of Vogue. The shoot, with an unknown female model, has taken place and the whispers are that Black Caviar passed the assignment with flying colours, just like everything else she does. The mare joins an amazing list of glamorous females to have made the cover .
