how long before he :
1: rocks the boat (he is too good a handicapper to comply with mediocrity)
2: resigns (will find it hard rating maiden winners 85 when they beat soupmeat)
3: gets sacked (as above)

It is no secret that I am no fan of the regulation side of the NHA but the handicappers,IMO do a very good job,and I have no doubt that Magic will enhance that situation.........don't blame them for the rules that are imposed on them.
What I would like to see is the handicappers and the rest,work as a team by agreeing on the definition of " erratic runs", and then communicate all the "in and out" qualifiers, for action by the bored(sic).
They record each run anyway so why not maximise their good work.
They won't be judging from the pocket,but the run ratings,which are a fair reflection.
