Change Will Not Come If We Wait

“Change will not come if we wait.”
SA needs a plan. It has to be a practical one reflecting the needs of the people on the ground and implemented by the highest authority in the country. Independent Newspapers, in tandem with LeadSA invites you to be part of that plan. LEADERSHIP is not reliant on age, position or gender. Ubudoda abukhulelwa. This is a Zulu saying that means one is never too
young or insignificant to exercise leadership. The national planning commissioners call on all South Africans to participate in transforming SA
through exercising leadership and active citizenry and I quote from the draft plan “Active citizenry requires showing inspirational leadership at all levels of society.
“Leadership here does not refer to one person, or even a tight collective of people. In every aspect of life, dynamic leadership should be encouraged.” Leadership as envisioned by the national planning commissioners is similar to that espoused by
Robin Sharma. He defines leadership as “using authentic power that resides within you to go out in the world
everyday and leave things better than you found them”.
