Outstanding career. Nothing more to prove in top flight.

I'd like to own a horse that can still run a clear 2nd in a Gr 1 after setting the pace, when he's "one season too many!"

RM blitzed the first half of the race in a suicidal pace, to still run 2nd was an achievement. Still plenty of life in the Rocket to me, he's a gelding anyway so he's got no paddock value.

He has normally set the pace so that shouldn't have worked against him..........still very good but I also think just a little past his peak! ....and I would obviously still like to own him too.........

Sorry for MDK, but from a more neutral stance few horses on the planet deserved a Gr 1 win more than Cityscape.

I'm sure MDK's cheque for second place ain't too bad, you've got a lot of sympathy Magic!
If they go a decent clip St Nicholas Abbey should walk the next. Lets hope we see the real Bold Silvano but as someone once told hope is not a winning strategy!

Funny thing is that most winners and placed horses are those that have run already at the carnival. Higher rated horses from outside that don't know the track seem to be ... I don't know what, but they aren't winning.

I wish I'd known earlier that channel 206 was showing the Dubai meeting in full. What a difference from 232! All the info, opening ceremony, music and dance, interviews, HORSES. Instead of endless lists of prices and will-pays, yada, yada, yaaaawn.
