Going at Fairview 16 March

We are starting a new thread as sure guys don't read the racing threads once it's over.

The going today was described as Good, with a pen reading of 22. The daily change sheet shows no irrigation last 24 hours.

This am at app.6 15am as we were going to the work tracks the sprinklers were on watering the track.

After race 2 we were advised by Barend Vlooh that there was a very wet patch which had caused our filly to falter. After this race most of the jockeys reported to the stipes that the going was actually soft.

Before going down for race 3 Wayne told us this as well. We requested another pentameter reading with the PE stipe as we were concerned for Cahmere Mafia, as she does not act in soft going. Basically we were ignored..Katsamba ran as if he was bogged down.

We mentioned this to Mr.Passerini and he also asked for another reading. He was told that the Stipes were happy with the going as good and wouldn't change it.

Personally we were affected by this going with 3 fancied runners, Katsamba, Cahmere and Hightower. As well as our first timer who faltered badly in the going. We will only see how this affects her at her next run.

How many other owners and punters were affected with their runners and bets by not knowing about the change in going?

NHRA officials again above talking to....

I stick by my contention, which I have stated often, that the NHA,by their conduct, continually bring racing into disrepute.
The problem is that there are no procedures available to bring these charges against them. What I am waiting for,is for me to be charged, and then I will then be able to introduce my evidence as a defence!
There are many transgressions, of their own rules,on a daily basis, that the NHA are turning a blind eye to..................many of which are fundamental to the integrity of horseracing!
