Stable lad wins £1million betting £50 on five of his boss's horses

stable lad has won £1million after picking five winning horses at Cheltenham.
Conor Murphy placed the £50 bet on five of his boss’s horses before Christmas in an accumulator.
Last night he was out celebrating after his final horse – 7-2 favourite Riverside Theatre – came in.
Despite the win, the 31-year-old reportedly told his friends that he would be ‘straight back to work as usual’ this morning.
Last night his employer, trainer Nicky Henderson, said he ‘couldn’t be happier for Conor’. ‘I’ve just heard about it – it’s absolutely wonderful,’ he added.
‘He’s such a lovely lad, one of the nicest you could ever meet. He’s my top guy and I am absolutely thrilled for him.
‘He’s got amazing foresight betting on the horses before Christmas. I wish I’d known about it – I wouldn’t have minded making a million quid.’
The Irishman is thought to have successfully backed Simonsig, Bob’s Worth, Finian’s Rainbow and Sprinter Sacre to win their races.

His £1million victory was complete when his fifth horse, Riverside Theatre, won yesterday.
Mr Henderson also revealed that Mr Murphy, who placed his bet with online bookmakers Bet365.com, had been ‘absolutely instrumental’ in the success of Finian’s Rainbow, which won the Queen Mother Champion Chase yesterday.
Favourite: Riverside Theatre came in at 7-2 in the final race, sealing Conor's massive win
Rumours of Mr Murphy’s win circulated after BBC presenter Clare Balding revealed the details on Twitter.
She wrote: ‘The lad who looks after Finian’s Rainbow had a 5-timer on Nicky Henderson winners and has won £1m! Says he’ll be at work tomorrow.’
Last night Bet365.com put on a brave face, saying: ‘We’re always pleased to hear when people have a good Cheltenham.’
