It was a dismal run by the favourite and I'd be curious for an explanation with a view to assessing him in his future races, but I can't see this one having been an attempted "job."

BTW, I think the winner could be quite a nice sort with a fair bit more to come.

favourite stumbled twice going down to the start and was never comfortable in the race...yip they pulled a move with the stablemate mr reddy you are the NEXT DICK francis whens your first book coming out?

Not a bad result for the bookies, but there was no shortage of apparent support for the winner and Funny Glory would surely have been a much better result.

Of course I've seen stables "pull jobs" with various degrees of success, but I've also seen alleged pacemakers hold on to win and surprise everyone, including the connections.

I can name a few that have run recently that are on that sale, where they needed to send out search parties with flashlights to look for them.

And that was at day meetings.

No one p[ays me for my propaganda. Hell, the filly I own a share in Lily of London is on the sale and she won a couple of weeks back, but I've seen the catalogue and I am keeping a very close eye on horses that are entered. This is, after all, our friend Clinton Binda's happy hunting ground.

(I'll just bet he's got the float already hooked up and the sandwiches made for his raid to Shongweni next week...)

Magic,thats what worries me........how much it might cost me.......lol.
I have a credit in the stable but I have figured out that it is in the form of a voucher only!

You also handicap horses. You know what could be a Clinton special and what should be avoided like the plague.
