could anyone help . i need the contact details of the ombudsman for the industry .

Trust me there is NO such thing

I only know of a watchdog over the Vet. industry.

Ravin years ago we ( formally the South African racegoers association) suggested to Derrick Wiid and Brian Mehl and a few other gurus at Phumelela to introduce an ombudsman for the industry to afford the punter protection and a mouthpiece,, however you must remember that the punter in SA is regarded as a stupid animal and is therefore treated as such

hi mister a . thanks for your reply . if a punter has i disputed ticket ( bookie not willing to pay ) , who can he turn to . the only logical step is to go to court without an arbitration process . this would be a futile exercise as a punter you accept the " house rules " of the bookie . it seems that the bookie has covered every possible avenue in protecting itself . but would the house rules stand up in court because a few of them seem to be " illegal " or one-sided . thanks

Can you not contact the gambling board in the region the bookie is licensed?

Correct, Hibs. Gaming Board do take their time, but it is their job!
