Nice pics. I miss the beaches in SA. The only beaches we have here in Las Vegas is the type who will take your money, your car, your insurance policy, the works

Thanks to Dave and Bob for posting the pics. We were luckily able to go to MAITLAND Beach to work there yesterday. As you can see the horses love it.....

nostalgic!
when (circa 1953/4) I was a kid on holiday in Durban at my grandfather's place (he was an avid punter for whom a rickshaw was on standby every Greyville meeting on Saturdays!) in Carlisle Street, I used to watch the horses with awe and fascination as they were being taken to the beach. Once, I followed them and watched them enthralled as they frollicked on the sand!
I am talking about the days of C'est si Bon, Purple Royal, Mowgli, Panjandrum, etc!!!!!!
