Scotia before the Met weekend.

Good morning all and only 2 more sleeps before we jet off to the Cape for a long weekend.
When I say "jet" we have a "special deal" take your own sandwiches, the plane has an outside toilet and we stop halfway to refuel near Clarens in a place called Bethlehem where we ask 3 wise men the way to Cape Town as little chance of finding a virgin in the Free State.
It can only be better than my last package deal from Scotland to Spain where the plane was full of Scots wearing sombreros and drinking cans of McEwen's lager, we did have a terrorist scare on board but the Jocks managed to convince the funda "mentalists" that rather than wait for the promised of virgins that they should join them in Magaloof (aka Shagaloof) and we all arrived safely, so looking forward to a double.
SCOTS IN SOMBREROS
It will be sad to leave Pretoria and our historic government buildings (historic is linked to the time spent if you have a problem) and head for table mountain, the sales (remind me not to wave at Robin Bruss) ....sales link ......waterfront, racetrack etc, but they say a change is as good as a holiday.
Mrs S is looking for a hat, I did offer a few caps from Gold Circle, Hollywood and Interbet but she want a black one, at least she can use it again at the funeral.
I have been on a crash diet to try and lose 10 Kilos in 3 days, gym, watching what I eat, picked up some biltong carpaccio (aka boere sushi) and tried Mrs S's new machine, an air cooker? have been making chips, they look healthy enough but sure I should not be added all the sauces to make them taste better?
Some great racing on Saturday, I have a decent bet on Igugu after a few ATC,s a couple over the jumps and Val De Ra but just slightly concerned that its still easy to back at 16/10? with Sportingbet.
AGRA LOOKS A BANKER
The rest of the card where Agra looks the banker, the Derby not cut and dry and maybe we need 1-2-3-4-7. although many are strong on Jackson, not sure what happened to Ebony last time but will give it another go and Welwitschia a big danger.
Look forward to seeing Divine Jet running and the "getting out" stakes not easy looking at the stayers race,
Will not touch on Cheltenham as my focus will be on the Cape, however the Clan has a challenge from one of our prominent posters which I am sure will get your attention...........watch this space
GRAND CRUS RISING STAR OVER THE JUMPS
Look forward to meeting our friends from Gold Circle and Sportingbet at the track and having a few cold drinks to ease the blow of any potential losers but at the end of the day racing will be the winner.
As normal the site has been buzzing..............
No more Betfair for SA punters...............
Met day trainers comments...............
Kenilworth comments and tips........
Plus many more including Harry Redknapp in financial trouble but his dog Roger is minted.
Have a great weekend and may your God be with you
Good punting!

FOR URGENT MEDIA RELEASE
Please be advised that CHESALON has been scratched from this year’s J&B Met by trainer, Mike Bass
(Reason: Lame Near Fore Time: 10:19)
Due to the above scratching there will only be 15 runners in the J&B Met and consequently the tote will pay only three places.
