Tottenham Hotspur football manager Harry Redknapp has denied avoiding tax by hiding two payments from his club chairman in a Monaco bank account.

Redknapp, 64, is accused of taking tax-free offshore bungs in an account named after his pet dog.
He was manager of Portsmouth at the time of the allegations between 2002 and 2007.
Redknapp is accused of cheating the public revenue over two payments totalling $295,000 (around £189,000).
The cash was allegedly paid to him by the club's then chairman, Serbian Milan Mandaric.
Mandaric, 73, is also on trial and denies the same charges.
Prosecutor John Black QC told the court: "The Crown's case is that the money transfers to the offshore Monaco account were deliberately and dishonestly paid by Mr Mandaric, and deliberately and dishonestly received by Mr Redknapp, with the intention of concealing them from the authorities and the payment of tax."
Mr Black said "both parties must have known" they were avoiding taxes.
One of the payments during Redknapp's time at Portsmouth was over the £3m profit the club made on the sale of England star Peter Crouch, it was alleged.
Prosecutors also claimed he failed to tell investigators about the Monaco account as tax officials probed a previous £300,000 payment he received over Rio Ferdinand's record-breaking transfer between West Ham United and Leeds.
The jury was told Redknapp named the secret account Rosie 47 - a reference to his dog's name and the year of his birth.
Earlier, potential jurors were warned by the judge to leave behind any football allegiances or prejudices.
Judge Anthony Leonard told them: "Let me make it clear this case is about tax fraud, not football, but it is tax fraud alleged to have taken place within the football world.
"If you are chosen you will take an oath or affirmation to reach true verdicts according to the evidence and you must leave all prejudice and favour behind and you try this case solely on the evidence.
"Football, for some, can be of such importance that it almost overwhelms every other aspect of their lives.
"It can instil in people very strong prejudice in favour of and against certain teams, managers and players.

He might be under pressure but his dog Roger is minted and might be buying the club. ;)
