Cape Premier Yearling sale Book 1

With just over a month to the sale i thought i would open a thread,you can find all the lots HERE
Horse Chestnut pictured at Drakenstein Stud

Horse Chestnut will have his first South African-bred yearlings, seven in total, including a half-brother to Run Angel Run (Makaarem) and a filly out of a half-sister to Victory Moon, on the Cape Premier Yearling Sale on 26 and 27 January 2012.
Footnote:
With all the excitement around this weekends Guineas, Horse Chestnut won the Cape Guineas by over 7 L in 1999

I see Gap Year (raced by myself, Elvis and a few others) has her first foal (by Silvano) on the sale - come on guys, let's put 50K each - maybe we can buy him for 300K

Frodo also see Seat Of Power, raced by several of us in the Trilogy Syndicate, also has her first foal on auction sired by Argonaut.

Have to say that Inside Racing is a quality show and would love to buy a share in one of these beauties.
In addition the interview with Kantor on the Derby and the Horse Chestnut insert was superb.

The writing is on the wall for the National Yearling Sale as we have come to know it, and while the timing of the Cape sale is too early for some peoples' liking I have no doubt that the Western Cape is where the country's premier sale belongs.

It would appear the place to be Magic and looks good long term, overseas money.

339 and especially 347 look like good prospects, hopefully they don't go for too much. Another sibling to Irish Flame is also up for sale, the last one Irish May was a bit of a let down if i am not mistaken.
