But Lurker King - There are some horses that just don't like the long straight.
Some perform better around the turn. Hey - I am not a trainer though.

Probably inside - outside not yet ready I think (could be wrong) - so 2nd, 3rd and 5th around the turn - the rest down the straight - what was a bad draw in the 1450 and 1600 now becomes much less of a problem (or perhaps even an advantage) - also the course and distance stats as shown in the books goes for a ball of sh*t - but still not sure that they will race :S

Yes Pirates
Egg in my face. That WAS the graft at Turffies.
This horse was punted by the owner AND me on Bettingworld on Thursday when betting opened but all bets were null and void because of change of venue. The owner persuaded Marwing to scratch because they felt that the long Vaal straight will not suit. ( also refer to Pierre Strydoms comments in the Citizen).
A race was planned for Louvre on the 30 December.
After much deliberation, they decide to leave it in today.
the only bet the owner had was a 70 000/1000 double on Chesalon and Louvre . This was only a sentimental bet because he is a owner. When Chealon won he decided not to punt Louvre.
So well done to him. As for me I did not have a single bet today as I was gone to a funeral of a close relative.
So ,that is that story as it unfolded.
Well done to all the forumites that called me. I gave you all the Lerena double in the 3rd and 9th. I hope your guys made plenty and sorry to have put your'll of Louvre.
Tomorrow is another day. ,and I quote "only an act of God will beat this horse on Sunday"
Well Done . I will wait for the JWB soon.
