Yes, all bets null and void on Turffontein meeting.

New fields, and betting for Vaal Turf

Good for them for at least attempting to get the meeting completed. Also good for them for disseminating the information on their websites :S

Information MUPPETS.

My feeling is that they need people who not only know racing but who can understand how the relay of information has changed. They need to make use of the internet as an alternative way of dissemination......

Won't happen with the older folk at the head of affairs.

It's a new world, it's a new dawn, it's a new day.......

(Sounds very lyrical) :D

I am not trying to defend the establishment, however we first heard abouth the venue move from "Molly" on Tellytrack, and phoned Phumelela to confirm.

Then we only have Kenilworth tomorrow, which seemed the better option in any event.

Nothing wrong with the Vaal (but not sure if it is much dryer there) - bloody long drive to go and watch and the straight is a bit on the narrow side now that it has been split - but plenty of time for the 'closers' to have every chance - if decent horses run, there is no reason why the results should be any different than racing at the Big T.

Would rather take my chances there than in Slaapstad, but that's just me ;)
