.....don't be fooled.... Mr Zackey's "steel" shoes are not the normal steel training plate shoe used on horses. They are made from a steel and carbon fibre alloy and are as light and as flexible as aliminium but wear much better. Steel shoes lack what is known as ductility or flexibiliy ie the hoof is flexible and aliminium shoes flex with the hoof, while ordinary steel shoes is not at all that forgiving.

Imo Perana has run downfield too many times when he should have been right there - Magical, on the other hand, ran one bad race and no one seems prepared to give him another chance - 40/1 huge odds imo

magicals 2nd to Aslan in this same race 2years ago was very admirible
