My best mate is also a nice guy but that doesn't make him a good commentator. I don't mind some good chirps from the caller but keep the bias out of it Sheldon.

1 of the irritating things in life is hearing some wise ass brag about how right they are, this is a game when you will be wrong most of the time so when you get it right be humble in the knowledge that a) you're lucky and b) your next torn up ticket is coming very soon!

The people that boast about their wins usually do so to make themselves feel better about their many losses. I've seen many big talkers in the game go out like lights.

guys i totally agree - rather he should have said most unluck those who went for vettel very very stiff and conditions favoured the winner. We all know they are not run on paper. Im a mate of Sheldons but that one hurt me- im off to the atm again

commentators stick punters into the horses from tips received from jockeys.They never use there own money.

That's a virtually impossible rule to police,jockeys have ppl punting for them,trainers,commentators etc

The only person I know who lives and breathes horse racing and who does not punt is Magic Lips(by his own admission)

That's racings greatest mystery,I think lips got it in him to be one of the rare few who ll actually make a profit from racing if he decides to punt

Except that, while a biased call can be irritating or even infuriating, it cannot change the result of a race. Stipes, on the other hand, have the power to do exactly that.

Or maybe he got the EAGLE EYE to spot a winner 1000m out.
