Mr Irwin...How has EF,s operation gone and has she recovered ok?

I see she is running on Sat at Durbanville. I can't wait to see her running again. My only concern is that historically horses seldom perform to the same ability post operations of the sort EF has had.

Any comments?

MDK is just given her a run before the met like what he did in the july he entered her for a Grade 1 before the july and he chose not to enter her in the dailynew 2000 so they can get a better price.Thats why he will enter her in a grade 1 race on not the queens plate so it will be ready to win :):):):)(tu)

The two fillies are at their very best over different distances. It makes 100% sense to aim Ebony Flyer at the Queen's Plate over 1600m and Igugu at longer races like the Paddock Stakes and Met, because that plays to both horses' strengths, It has nothing to do with avoiding each other, the truth is that they don't really belong in the same race. If Ebony Flyer skips the Met or July it won't be to avoid Igugu, it will be because it is considered that she doesn't stay those trips.

Why is this hard to grasp?

Why do you always have to spoil a good argument by introducing some common sense >:D<

A year ago, Hibs, give or take. Subsequent events and the extra maturity of the horses in question have probably changed things a bit.
