Not sure about KZN.

There are 8 Maiden races, 1 Novice and 1 MR72 all with HUGE fields (most have 17 to 20 runners).

Punters (non-owners) will say it's a poor card. This is understandable as they do not pay keep.

Owners and trainers welcome the decision by GC as a chance to see their ponies get out of the maiden ranks.They should do it more often.
