Don't need to understand all the technicalities but as of 2 August USA will need a solution to there problem.

No Monies in the bank.

They need to squish the chinese currency
They need to squish the oil producers
Promote making stuff in their own country

Weapons and war based economy. It was only a matter of time before the Trillions would run dry. In a perfect world those trillions spent could have improved the lives of the reported billion starving people.
