Yogas Govender "The Trainer"

I was wanting to post this a while ago because it really bothered me and I was worried that it might ruffle a few feathers.
In the end , I decided that I did not care because I feel that a broom MUST be called a broom.

It was heartening to hear Paul Lafferty today, refer to Viking Lizzy as a winner from the Yogas Govender Stable.
I have never EVER heard the presenters on course in the Western Cape and in the TT studio say that. This would include Stan Elly, Shaheen Shaw and even Cecil. In fact, today was the first day that Cecil mentioned " the Yogas Govender Racing Stable. He obviously followed Laff.

These people continually refer to Yogas or the winning horse in an interview as "from Plattner Racing" or alternatively "from Platner Racing represented by Yogas Govender". I was beginning to wonder who the trainer was. Was it Plattner or Yogas.

I wonder how many of you thought that poor old Yogas was just the stable hand or just the little Indian that groomed the horses.

To all the above presenters, wake up smell the roses and give the man some credit.

Phew........... I feel better now.

Yogas is a top trainer & highly respected by his peers in the Cape.

Request came through to TT from Mrs Plattner that the term " Representing Sabine Plattner racing " be used. Spoken to Yogas a few times on USO and praised him for the fine job his doing.

I deduce that Sabine also does not regard him as a trainer.

So is Yogas just on a Salary?

What is a YOGAS?

He is doing a great job and brining in the results

He is one of the very few trainers who when they make comments....i listen to them. He is correct when summing up his runners more often than not! I wish i could hear more of his comments. Does anyone know if he puts them somewhere or if i can only hear his comments if TT decides to interview him once every year

The six yogas

the six yogas generally conform to the following conceptual list:

tummo ( — the yoga of inner heat (or mystic heat).
gyulü — the yoga of the illusory body.
ösel ) — the yoga of the clear light or radiant light.

These next three are considered the main practices of the completion stage in the anuttara yoga tantra.

milam — the yoga of the dream state.
bardo — the yoga of the intermediate state. This is well-known through the Bardo Thödöl. Bardo yoga as the yoga of liminality may include aspects of gyulu and milam and is therefore to be engaged as an extension of these disciplines.
phowa the yoga of the transference of consciousness to a pure Buddhafield.

How do you stomach the drugs so early in the morning or do you just not sleep :S

East whilst I respect and understand your views, when Brett Crawford trained for Mrs Platner this stable was not known as Crawford racing stables. They have always reffered to the stable as Platner Racing even whilst he was there.

Therefore I don't think race has anything to do with it.
