Thanks for input Andrew

"To ensure that the pool does not become diluted because of the two extra payouts it will be given a cash injection by the operators who will reduce their normal take-out rate from the pool".

My theory,as previously posted, about the strange payouts on co-mingled pools,is that it revolves around an adjusted takeout (more margins to more players).
Interesting that they will just adjust the take-out for this innovation.......maybe its a habit?
I would have thought that take-outs are a legal &/or contractual issue.................this circus needs a forensic audit IMO.

Having a new 6 place bet for the July is kind of good. My question will be about places throughout. Phumelela say 7 runners ,2 places,16 runners 4 places. My question is , If you play place accumulator in one of the races there's 16 horse field. Why pay the first three yet in places they pay 4 places. It doesnt make sense to me. I would think they should include the 4th placed horse as they are paying it in places. What do you think.

So if there are 7 runners then 2 must qualify for the p.a.

Well done to Hollywood for offering 6 places on the July.............They even offer different odds for 2, 3, 4 ,5 , 6 places.....:)

Also to Greg Bucks and Dave who said on another thread that this should be possible........(tu)

6 Places at 8% of the odds as suggested.....need a large stake to make the effort worthwhile IMO.

Just out of curiosity, was I the only one on Satuday that had to mute Tellytrack after Molly and Clyde disapearing up Phumelela's arse going on about how wonderful the tote is by offering 6 places and how bookies were a disgrace for deducting 5% of a 20/1 shot being scratched and how one a year punters will feel robbed if a deduction incurs. Trust me guys the once a year punter will feel much worse when they get R1.20 a place on Igugu, than having a 20/1 shot scratched after they have placed their bet and still 2,66/1 on Igugu instead of 2,8/1.

I do realise that your bread is butter by Phumelela and I do respect both of you in the racing industry, I just thought that conversation slating the bookies was appauling.

Perhaps the reduced takeout and the fact that on Gauteng TABs we can place ATC win and place bets onto the July, from all of the local meetings of this week will help swell dividends.
I love Mr Hawaii's idea on carryovers, from the whole month before , going onto the July. This could also apply to the Met and the Summer Cup. Even 2 months before ?
