Over the past 4 years I have been fortunate enough to help organise the Phumelela Christmas Tree raceday. This is a charitable event for the abused, abandoned and underprivileged children of Gauteng. It is a very special day whereby we give something to the less fortunate in order to make them feel loved over the festive season.
Once again I am privileged to be part of this day and this year the raceday will take place at Turffontein Racecourse on Sunday 4 December 2011 where we will host approximately 200 children. These children who range from the ages of 2 to 17 years of age will each enjoy a Christmas lunch, entertainment at the races and a Christmas present from their wish list.
In order to make this an unforgettable Christmas for these children I am appealing for your support and generosity and ask you to participate in this raceday. By way of donation you can sponsor a race for R 15 000-00 which will entitle you to the naming rights of the race as well as an advertisement that will appear in the Computaform. The name of the race will also be announced on Tellytrack Channel 232 on DSTV. You will also be entitled to host a table for ten people, which will include a Christmas lunch and certain beverages. In the past companies have used this as their Christmas party to entertain staff and clients. Just an idea!
Alternatively you can purchase a table for ten people for R 7500-00 which will include a Christmas lunch and certain beverages or make a donation for this worthy cause.
You will receive a donation certificate from the relevant charity.
All extra proceeds will be donated to the Children’s Homes in the form of food vouchers, electrical appliances, clothes, toiletries etc.
Opening your heart to the little ones that need a lot of love this Christmas will surely make this an extra special Christmas for the
