Two pieces of news from Hong Kong that might interest SA readers: Sacred Kingdom has been retired, and the connections hope to send him to a farm near Sydney, Aus, subject to confirmation. And Sweet Sanette runs in the King Stand Stakes next Tuesday ... if she wins (do you think she can? It's her fave distance of 1000 m) she will be standing in line to be Sprinter of the Year in HK.

Ta, Scotia, I'll have a look at your post ... what worries me a bitty is that she's had no lead up race(s), and I think people (even trainers) underestimate the effect of strange surroundings on a horse. (Maybe I'm just extrapolating from my experience as a schoolgirl after changing schools ... I was a big strong girl but it was still wise to stay in the background and keep quiet till everyone had had a look at you. Not sensible to charge off to the front ... try to lead the pack from Day 1 ... LOL!)

Actually Sacred Kingdom has not been retired, he is still in quaranteen after returning from Singapore. He will run again in the 2011 season, probably in October.
