Restraint is my "in or out" horse in UD's tipping competition. Obviously there is only a week left in the month so I need to get a move on if I'm going to try and climb the ladder (or fall to the bottom...), but for what it's worth I've stuck my whole stash of points for a win on her. She seems to do much better in KZN than in Gauteng, she's running against an ordinary bunch, and she has Anton riding.

Coffee Sheik's form has been well franked and he looks an improving sort, can go close if not just needing this run. Castlethorpe can prove too classy even with a big weight in a handicap, and Nomzane looks the business in that field although Slew The Bold seems to do best at Greyville and could be the one danger.

At the Vaal I like Soul Master (although Super Trouper is no mug and is much better than his last run in the mud), Bullard, Living The Dream, Causeway and Kinematic Countess, more or less in that order. My roughie for the day is Zara in the ninth race, her MR is coming down at a rate of knots now and she won her only C&D race.

Run of the mill racing at the Vaal today; where the exotics seem to start off with a few 'thin' races and get more complicated from race 6 onwards; a few longer shots that could provide some 'value' imo include Super Trouper who I believe is going to give everyone's banker Soul Master a run for his money, the 2 recent maiden winners Millennium Wind and Tripple Seven could feature at good odds in race 7 and in the 9th it could prove a wise move to include Rum 'n Sugar who ran a fair race last time in stronger company when not well treated at the weights.

Play well
