Hassan Adams have been telling everyone who is willing to listen that the July is in the bag!!! ....he did this months before the Met as well and I took some of the 16/1 and had some doubles with What a Winter and Covenant going into the big race. Based on the Drill Hall Stakes run...Past Master will be a hard horse to beat in the July.

i have my doubts whether he will stay ahard run 2200m at greyville.remember in the met the pace was slow turned into a sprint .good bet for gold challenge 1600m. though.

Perpetual - last time I checked, Hassan Adams doesn't train horses. Any owner is going to be bullish about his/her horse. The drill hall isn't the best pointer to the July and in all honesty, neither is the Met. As most of the level minded people on this post have said - wait unlti the season has taken it's course before you start making these kind of comments!!!

My concern with both Past master and Igugu is the weight they gonna carry . Pm will carry top whgt of 60 or maybe 59Kg .

Difficult to win the july carrying top wght imo .

But if you must have a bet back them both , Igugu with betting world and Pm with hollywood .

In the event Igugu wins and pm runs 2nd then you get paid both Tickets !

Unless they crawl Past Master has no chance of winning the July. Granted class is very thinly spread across the field but I cannot see him staying...

Early days, and I agree with Ant that the weights are going to have a big impact on the outcome; regarding the 2200 I personnally don't think PM will have a problem with it (yes I know he seems to have stamina limitations on his dam's side); but he outstayed (outsprinted perhaps) his rivals in the Met; he has now won at Greyville and at this early stage has definitely thrown his hat into the ring as a contender at the least.

And what about Ebony Flyer? Is she in Durbs - and if so, which races is she being aimed at?

Morning Frodo much has been said re:Ebony Flyer, if you go to "search" but this was an extract from a post by Barry

Justin Snaith, who by the way thinks Ebony Flyer

Thanks scotia - so if she is only going to contest the one feature (and I suppose that would depend on how she draws), it seems like my decision to not include her in my Charity team, could prove to be not so dumb after all (tu)
