Winning Ways............guest

I really enjoyed the special guest "Selwyn Elk", hope I have the spelling correct?
His old stories were superb, I am sure we all have many memories from the past, was also interesting his comment on the ATC bet where winning tickets may have been thrown away after losing the last leg, but maybe money put aside by the tote after limit reached after a few legs were correct.
Well worth watching.

I have referred to their publication, SA RACING MIRROR, in my old posts......Selwyn ,Pillip and Tony ,were Guys I raced with every meeting in those "good old days"
Was very nostalgic for me!
Some of the stories he told were discussed at length, over a booze or three, all those years ago.

Yes Rob many great stories, mine were more recent but was in the rooms at Bosman St when we had no link to the Vaal etc
Our racing days much less then, Mr Sack, Johnny and Vish, Eerenstiens, Prinsloo, and many more, Debbie Hawkins was a clerk, great days, great memories and great stories......................

Remember the Indian brothers would sit in the car in Bosman St, send up a case full of money for Prinsloo and Louis and the clerks would run from cubicle to cubicle shouting write a ticket on the top one, and you could have as much as you wanted.........great stuff!
