Open letter to the UK – much love, Black Caviar

Dear England,

Instead of sending your draught horse stayers Down Under each spring to get their backsides spanked, how about you pop some of your "sprinters" on the next Qantas 380 and shoot them over so I can give them a right royal hiding?

You might as well, because all Aussies know that you Poms like being on the end of a good beating, it gives you something to complain about.

The Ashes are one thing, racing is another, and on the racetrack the Australians rule supreme (just wait 'til you see my mate So You Think) - realise it, respect it, embrace it.

I'm Black Caviar. Nice to meet you.

For those of you unfamiliar with what Ido let me fill you in. I win races. I run fast, then I run faster. I just win, that's all there is to it. 11 wins from 11 starts, all in city grade races, 10 at stakes level, four Group 1s.

The highest-rated horse in the world, the equal highest- ever rated filly in the world, and that's just the tip of the iceberg...I think Racing Victoria's chief handicapper Greg Carpenter was a bit stingy with my rating.

Every pore of my skin just oozes class, every hair on my hide comes together like a fine woven coat of awesomeness. I get up, I go fast, I give my trainer Big Pete Moody the thumbs up, I go home again and soak up the spotlight. It's a tough life being this good, it truly is.

Puntersknow me as Black Caviar, but to my friends and family I'm Nelly. I'm the biggest, the baddest, the fastest and the finest. I talk the talk AND walk the walk. The rest rave and rant then just puff and pant. Respect my pace and I won't kick you in the face, I've done it before don't MAKE me do it again.

I'm like a Mohammed Ali cross Usain Bolt cross Phar Lap cross Naomi Campbell cross Oprah - I'm the greatest, fastest, and most dominant sprinter the world has ever seen. I'm not in the business of giving away cars but if you put enough money on me you'll soon have enough to afford a few, maybe a whole dealership.

I'm THAT good, I'm like freaky good.

How good would it be if you went to the track, whacked 50 quid on the 100-1 shot in the first, watched it win, then rolled the winnings over onto every other winner on the card, then went to the best restaurant in Mayfair to celebrate, chatted up Nigella Lawson at the bar, then as you're taking her homevia the chippy you find a bag with a million quid in it on the street. That'd be pretty good right? Wrong, I'm better.

While you lot have been shivering through winter cheering on Long Run and his mates, I've been scorching the turf in Melbourne. There isn't a horse in Australia that can match me, I doubt there is one in the world that can. I even gave them a chance at Moonee Valley last weekend when I fell asleep in the gates and gave them a head start...still won though. Lukey Boy -that's Luke Nolen, my jockey - just had to wake me up and away I went.

I'm off to Sydney next week with Big Pete and Lukey Boy to take the show on the road and give Sin City a taste of what I got. Then maybe I'll take a trip up to Brisbane, win a couple of majors in the process, go see the Big Pineapple, probably make a holiday of it.

Then a little break, back to Melbourne for more fun and games, then who knows...Hong Kong maybe? I've got my eyes on a bigger prize though, a couple of races that are fit for the Queen of world racing...Miss Andretti won one, I want to win both, England I'm coming for you.

Much Love

BC

Black Caviar may very well be the fastest horse on the planet but until you've beaten the worlds best there will always be a question mark.

The fact that many aussie sprinters have come to the UK in the past does nothing to prove her ability. Black Caviar needs to write her own story.

The fact that jj has been to 4 countries and won and could very well win in his 5th country means more to me than a horse that stays at home...

That was taken from a racing blog in racing post. I never write that lol. Any way the author of that blog is brilliant with his chirps. From what replays I have seen Black Caviar is super impressive. I doubt any thing will match her on her home turf.

People only appreciate a true champion when they see them live,so as far as im concerned Black Caviar can have the pretender too the crown title at home, for as long as he likes,we have also got a few of those back at home,eg Hear The Drums, notched up 35 wins, most probably the Aussies have never heard of him.Champions take on the best worldwide, just like JJ has done,so dream on,untill you move on and challenge the best.

JJ and her need to bump each other. JJ won against international company on the World Cup night- that is an achievement that ought to cement his title as Sprinting World Champion. The world needs to take him on to prove they are better.

Would be nice to see BC in Spingapore...

I think the distinction between the handicappers who make her the best in the world and her owners need to be understood. The handicappers say she is the best sprinter in the world and I'm sure that her owners probably think the same, but they are racing for the stakes and the prestige in the country where they live?
In Australia she can earn huge amounts of money winning these G1 sprints. In their opinions I would assume they don't need to go anywhere?

I don't necessarily agree and would love to see a truly "world class" sprinting field with JJ, BC, Rocket Man, Silent Witness ect.

Will we ever get that.....I would say no :(
