I thought I would start of the thread today since the work is done on Durbanville.

Fancy 2 runners today as strong fancies to feuture in bold. Other 1st selections to place

Race Kenilworth 19-Mar-11
1 2 Kalation Kannemeyer Bambiso
2 11 Miss Ipanema Bass Neisius
3 2 Adeste Fidelis Hodgson Schlechter
4 5 Howdoyoulikemeknow Ramsden Hatt
5 5 National Bullet Sands Coetzee
6 7 Approach Me Govender Fortune
7 8 Dead Cert Ramsden Hatt
8 5 Cap Alright Snaith Coetzee
9 6 Correct Approach Ramsden Hatt

PA: 2,1,8,12,13 x x 5 x 5,2,3,8 x 7,8,2,3 x 8,(6,3,2) x 5,6,7,2 x 6,12,3,8

Turffontein:

Real tough card expected here and one has to take a chance somewhere to take an above R1000 PA payout again today...I am going with Masterpiece after Modern Scott won well last week and looks like will be staying on here in a deteriorating field to the finish:

Some real roughies as first choices to place
today, so lots of caution advised at Turffies today on soft going, again it's gonna pay...if you pick the P6 you will enjoy the Proteas win today even more!

Race Turffontein 19-Mar-11

1 3 Soulja Gal Anthony Patterson
2 7 Full Colour Zackey Khumalo
3 7 Polo Moffat Juglall
4 7 San Clemente AG Laird vd Merwe
5 10 Gourmet Guru Tarry vd Merwe
6 6 Masterpiece Nieuwenhuizen Yeni
7 6 Let it Be De Kock Greyling
8 5 Maji Moto LJ Erasmus Brown
9 5 Island Prince Botes Khumalo

PA: 7,4,12,2,5,1x 7,2,11x 10,9,3,4x 6 (9,10) x 6,4,1,14x 5,12,7x 5,8,1,11
P6: 7,2,11,6 x10,9,3,4 x6,9,10,8,12,5x 6,4,1,14x 5,12,7,3,1x 5,8,1,11

Play well,

Tough racing at Kenilworth and Turffies.

Turffontein

Race2 Full Colour. Has run on last to runs. 20/1 on offer on Interbet. Huge value for me.
Race6 Harry Prince. Been flying late. Will love the 2600m. 14/1 on offer on Interbet. Hope Nicola can bring him home.
Race7 Qui Duel. Loves the course and dist. Sure to give a good account of herself.
Race8 Maji Moti. He won well his last 2 start. He is the banker on the card for me.

Kenilworth

Just one bet for me.
Race7 Dead Cert. He is improving now. Very impressive when he won and a good run last time in a very competitive race. 28/10 is a good price imo.

Good Morning Clan From Athens, Greece

Few more days in Greece before I head off to Dubai on Monday for the World Cup. I have Masterpiece running in the 6th Race today at Turf. Trainers comments are that the horse is well and expecting a very good run. Have got the services of Muzi on board who will also be heading to Dubai on Monday. This Jet Master is ex MDK/Sheik which we bought at the Shongweni sale who won his maiden at his last start with Muzi on board.

So lets see how he runs today and like I said, expecting a good run from him.....

All the best guys

Cheers
Anthony G

Rather uninspiring racing from Turffontein today - P6 consisting of 5 MR handicaps and a Maiden Plate; plus the threat of rain does not make it any easier; some thoughts:

R3: Competitive filles handicap; Dagana probably the most scope; Jet Flyer gets the blinkers again and offers some each way value at 10/1 imo; Lizzie Arden heavily penalised after beating a weak field last time, so has it all to do here
R4: Moon Emblem improving and could prove the right one, I'm also including Fall of Troy in the P6 (Jarolain now scratched); he has been heavilay backed in his last run, so could prove better than his exposed form
R5: Not easy; Gourmet Guru perfers a more testing track imo; Jedi Joshua a definite danger; go wide
R6: Furling Sail won his maiden very easily over this trip in soft conditions and could prove too good for Masterpiece and Hail the Tiger; none of the others appeal to me -Two Wood has stamina doubts imo and Harry Prince is way out at the weights
R7: Howhighcanufly highly rated by the stable, but has to give weight away to older fillies; I think Twice Double is well in here and could be a nice each way bet at a huge price
R8: Maji Moto probably the right one after the scratching of Lochinvar - and has a nice backup in Benbow for the P6; Mr Hurricane could prove a danger, but may be better down the straight
R9: Money for Up Company could prove significant, but Island Prince won very nicely last time out and should be right there again; quite a tough race if one looks past those two, chances to Veto, Roll Count, Dubai Rainbow and Cannon 'n Cordite (who may not prefer soft going) to name a few
