Winning Ways hits the spot (tu)

The Interbet sponsored Winning Ways certainly hit the right spot this week with a go at Tellytrack.

Well done to Paul Lafferty the presenter, the highly respected Andrew Harrison and ex trainer Mike Airey, to have a show on 232 and speak the same language as the ABC forum, was music to my ears. Without exception they complained about the poor choice of venues being shown and generally degrading horse racing with the constant plea for increased pick 3 pools. jackpots, etc. Plus the focus on numbers and payouts with over cramped viewing screens and unnecessary verbal information from the presenters.

The more the merrier and hopefully the penny will eventually drop.

I am sure it was Mike that said they even managed to stuff up Ascot by giving the numbers of a major race with no mention of the horse/jockey or trainer.

The buzz word at the moment is "customer service" and until the powers that be eventually reach the conclusion that they are not a Telkom/Munitoria and the customer is king, we will continue a downward trend.

ps Thanks to Interbet for the "voice of the SA punter" banner/link on their homepage, people who do care about the customers.

Lafferty, Harrison and Airey representing the voice of the punter?
That's a bit rich.

Not suggesting they were representing ABC, just highlighting that they spoke the same language as the posts on the site over the last year and would hope that Ngong/Sweden etc and the current programming will be seriously considered for removal going forward under new management.

The powers that be can always deny or refuse to acknowledge the forum, however a bit harder to ignore your own channel.
