Zimbabwe Racing
14 years 5 months ago
A couple of years ago the Zimbabweans were up in arms over some comments about their racing.
Well,if they wish SA and Tellytrack to support their efforts, surely they should play their part.
If you look at their programme today it is a joke and punters had to contend with first timers in their jackpots, which was totally unnecessary,if you look at the races on the day.
If they want SA to support their efforts, surely they should make one!

A mate was around for the racing and he had invested in a PA and JP for Zim.so he wanted to watch those races.I took an interest in how he was going and when I looked at his perms I noticed that the first 5 races were plate ,MR and a stakes race ,and then the 1st two legs of the Jpot were maidens???.
Sure enough ,the second leg was won by a long priced 1st timer and he was pissed...lol,but it looked like madman Mugabe had set the order of races.

Suited me. I tipped the P6 and Jackpot twice each in Winning Form.

I was wondering how it only paid under R5000. I thought i scooped the pool.
We also got a late christmas gift with Auvergne at 1/1. Couldn't believe that price.
Rob, rather Zim than Ngong. Unless the raced runners have exceptional form, I always include the unraced runners from big stables with decent riders aboard.

Kabz has hit the nail on the head. When a top rider (particularly visiting SA jocks) are put on nicely related newcomers from one of the big yards it's always a good idea to include them in exotics. That's why I included that first timer that won in the Jackpot.
Rather anything (without wheels) than Ngong.

On the subject of poor racing just had a look at RXP: Umaker, Napoli, Sanliurfa and "Wolves" will be checking the jumps.

Cheers Magic will sleep with one eye open
It just cracks me up to give the punters venues with no form/betting etc, its like they are trying to give the punters as little chance as possible, if only they would consider the more info the punter has he might be in a position to turn over his money more times and allow the operators to make a bigger profit??

Magic just home and put tv on no commentary from Italy and it looked like a yield sign at the 100mt mark? I would guess they have a horses or jockeys name on the other side? lol
