Very nice day (could have been a lot better for me personally) but I enjoyed seeing some quality racing.

I still think the 3yr old fillies are very good this season - great run by Ebony Flier to be beaten (from a wide draw) a few lengths at WFA by Mother Russia (best horse in the country over 1600?); would have loved to see a race between EF, Hollywood Blvd and Happy Archer - but I guess that won't happen.

In my mind the jury is still out on the 3yr old colts though; yes Run For It nearly won against older horses in the week, but I don't really rate Lion on Winter, so I just don't know how good they are - time will tell

well done Frodo, you said MOTHER WOULD WIN & WIN EASY NOGAL ! NO egg on your face today........ hopefulyy lots of $ $ $ $ instead.
& Anton said he pulled the trigger too early....... yes she had the race won early in the straight when she switched out about 200 from home..... it was race OVER.

well done.

I must say i'm saddened by the fact that EF will be leaving our shores, with a poor draw she still managed run a cracker like that being a three yr old filly in a group1 thats ultra-impressive. A great run from Tales of Bravery, i'm just not sure if MJ is a right jock for this horse. The ever-consistent Mother Russia was well rewarded, she delivered what was asked of her as usual, I must say the good draw and top rider on board made it all easy. Clearly Pocket Power deserves a retirement, this horse has delivered way above expectation for the connections, for the life of me I fail to understand why they can't let the champ bow out like a champ. I would have loved to see Gibralter Blue in this race though....
