Course Records

Never heard of them but they hold their respective course records for 40 years now.
Taki Greyville 2900 metres
Thunderbird Durbanville 2400 metres probably the more impressive record.
Sure would have been nice to hi lite in the racing media.

i watch athletics and i love to see old records being challenged by the next generation.
Here are two horsies that dont really hold major records but still have for 40 years kept from a time set in a different era.
Not a complaint please just an observation. We could have hi lited them and and info we have.

Pirates you dont think history is worth honoring. May be we never race these trips but still worth a mention.

I think what we should highlight and we intend to at a quieter time of the year is the discrepancy in course records e.g. who holds the Clairwood 1200m record? All the different racing form publications state a different record and none of them have J J's 67,07s of 2008 which is quicker than any of the "official" records.

Tipster , the majority of course(90%) records are incorrect. The officials just couldn't be bothered.
When they have a glich with their timing mechanisms ala Pe the other day , they don't even bother handtiming the race for data records.
