New ATC Tote bet press release!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
14 years 8 months ago
Sure we have had plenty to say, here is the offical release!
TAB MEDIA RELEASE
SUBJECT: All To Come bet starts this Friday
DATE: Tuesday 28 September
RELEASED BY: Phumelela Gaming and Leisure Limited
TAB is delighted to announce that its exciting new All To Come bet, which gives horseplayers the chance to win big for small amounts, will be launched this Friday.
The All To Come enables bets on horses in different races at the same race meeting to be combined into one accumulative bet. This is how it works:
* Choose the amount you want to spend (R6 minimum).
* Then choose the horses you want to include in your All To Come – you can select only one horse per race and you must include a minimum of two races and a maximum of six.
* You can choose to bet Win or Place on each horse you have selected.
The All To Come bet will be offered on all South African race meetings and selected international fixtures. Please remember that the horses you select must all be running at the same race meeting – for example you CANNOT have an All To Come bet with a horse in Race 1 at Greyville and a horse in Race 5 at Turffontein.
Here’s an example of an All To Come bet you could play at a race meeting at which you like three horses to win. You take a R10 All To Come as follows:
Race 1 – No 3 win
Race 4 – No 9 win
Race 8 – No 6 win
* No 3 wins Race 1 and pays R4 for a Win. Your All To Come accumulates R40 (10 x R4), which is bet for a Win on No 9 in Race 4.
* No 9 wins Race 4 and pays R10 for a win. Now you get a R400 Win (40 x R10) on No 6 in Race 8.
* No 6 also wins and pays R5 for Win – you collect R2,000 (400 x R5) for an outlay of only R10!
You only win an All To Come bet if all bets included are successful. There is one important exception – the maximum amount that can be accumulated to bet on your next selection in an All To Come bet is R15,000.
For example you take a four-horse All To Come and your first three bets win with the result that you have R20,000 going onto your last bet. R5,000 of that amount will automatically be set aside for you to collect after the bet is completed and only R15,000 will be put on your last selection. So even if your last bet in the All To Come loses, you still collect R5,000.
This is great news for horseplayers and guarantees that once your cumulative total going forward in an All To Come exceeds R15,000 you will collect the excess regardless of whether the remaining bet/s win or lose.
All To Come bets are great fun – play one this Friday!

Bookies must be smiling. They can now take half the ATC back on the tote. Tax to gambling board will be less.
And they get the winnings when last leg loose - punter gets 0 and gambling board won't see this income on any bookmakers statement.
Guess that bookies will be the biggest punters of this type of bet.
We can now punt as follows
Race 1 no 1,2,3
Race 3 no 1,2
Race 5 no 1
Race 7 no 1,2
Race 9 no 1,2,3,4,5
Total bets 60 x R6 each but in the last race I get money back on 4 bets if any 1 of numbers 1,2,3,4 or 5 wins and money back if all 5 loose - perhaps still make a profit!
Bookies gives 0 back unless I take 60 Canadians - even at R1 x 26 bets per canadian x 60 canadians there is too little profit.

I am not sure that I understand the bet. It is obviously not a pool based bet i.e its not a pool from where winners will be paid but winnings will be based on the pools of the various races. Therefore, do we have a fluctuations in the takeout for the operators?

Interesting, so races 1, 4 and 8 we have 2/1 fancied favs
So if I ask the bookie for a R500 treble I will get 13000/500 less tax (without a stretch) = R12,720
If I use the tote and considering we will now have more money going into the win pool on the fancied horses? its possible that the first 2/1 shot will pay less on the tote, lets say 15/10 and if the winnings are carried over again could well see the next horse pay 12/10 and the last evens? So my bet would be 5000/500 = R5,500 for the same bet on the tote
Its ok just brainstorming, and interested to see how it all pans out and the above is only an example of money being carried over into a tote pool which would have an effect on the final price imo.
All the best

Win pools on the tote from about the 5 race will increase from 2x (around R200K) to 10x (around R1m).
Tote favavorites will be strange numbers in the latter races as ATC will create new fav.
Hence PA, P6 and jacpots will yield more when these ATC fav run unplaced. Tote could have no 7 fav at R2.1 and bookies can have no 7 as 20/1 and no 1 as 15/10 fav.
The next new bet is to make my PA and P6 program available on the tote website.
You must play a PA and/or P6 before you can recall the ticket before the start of each race, and change the number or numbers played before the race jumps, else your original number or numbers played will be on your ticket. You won't be able to change your amount played or increase/ decrease the original number of horses played per leg.
You would be required to open an online tab account as your modified ticket would be emailed to your account and monies will be debited or credited to your account.
Tab will still make the same monies, pools might increase exponentially, punters will return, bet exchanges will not be able to compete, even bookies will use this facility, nation will be educated to become online Binary traders, the future jobs of the planet.
Be pioneers like the boere of yesteryear, not settlers and struggle!

The turnover on the tote -
You take a treble with the bookie -
R5000/R1000 - bookie holds R1000 on the race
Horse wins
ATC
R30,000/R6000 - bookie holds R6000 on the race
Horse wins
ATC
R36,000/R36,000 I bookie holds R36,000 on the race
Change bookie to tote and see why the totepools will x by between 2x and 10x

Here’s an example of an All To Come bet you could play at a race meeting at which you like three horses to win. You take a R10 All To Come as follows:
Race 1 – No 3 win
Race 4 – No 9 win
Race 8 – No 6 win
* No 3 wins Race 1 and pays R4 for a Win. Your All To Come accumulates R40 (10 x R4), which is bet for a Win on No 9 in Race 4.
* No 9 wins Race 4 and pays R10 for a win. Now you get a R400 Win (40 x R10) on No 6 in Race 8.
* No 6 also wins and pays R5 for Win – you collect R2,000 (400 x R5) for an outlay of only R10!
This is the example posted on racingweb by saftote. The reality of this example is that saftote will earn R90.00 commission out of original bet of R10.00 ( 20% of R10 bet on first leg = R2.00 plus 20% of R40 bet on second leg = R8.00 and 20% of R400 bet on third leg = R80.00 thus a total com of R90.00). If the bet went one more leg it would be 20 % on R2000 = R400 and so on from an initial amount of R10.00. If the same R10 was spent on any other exotics the operators takeout would be R2.50 irrespective of the amount won or lost.Operator must be careful they might look good for a while but they might be taking out too much too quickly.
Race 1 – No 3 win
Race 4 – No 9 win
Race 8 – No 6 win
* No 3 wins Race 1 and pays R4 for a Win. Your All To Come accumulates R40 (10 x R4), which is bet for a Win on No 9 in Race 4.
* No 9 wins Race 4 and pays R10 for a win. Now you get a R400 Win (40 x R10) on No 6 in Race 8.
