It is dilapidated, I agree, but the half demolished stand (although an eyesore) is misleading to some extent. It is true that hardly anybody goes there anymore, but you also need to remember that Fairview was built in the old South Africa, when every public facility like that had to be provided in triplicate (for Whites, Coloureds & Indians, and Blacks). That was the law. Never mind if the entire attendance could fit into one stand, they were not allowed to.

There was a third ("Blacks") stand at Fairview which I think is now completely demolished.
