Vaal sand Tuesday

Good morning and the Vaal hosts the local meeting where Spectabaloolous and Wild Swan should be included in ATCs with your July selections.

I prefer Super Break in the 1st and that will be my only suggestion for the day!

I'll mix the two above posts and suggest Wild Swan and Super Break as the two best of the day, in that order. I know Wild Swan has never raced on sand, but the Fort Woods usually take to it like a duck to water and Wild Swan has plenty of speed, which always helps a lot around that track. The way Cantabro won last time suggests he got away lightly with a 2 pound rise in his merit rating and I reckon he should follow up, though Vaal sand form has become so freaking unpredictable it makes Scottsville in January look like plain sailing by comparison.

Notforpublication will enjoy going back over 1200m, having run so well in his first try on sand before probably being run off his feet over 1000m the next time he hit the bright lights of the Vaal. He could arrive at a half decent price.

A few very 'thin' races at the Vaal today, and also a few others where I included 4 and 5 horses in the PA - I agree mostly with Magic (no harm in that I suppose), would like to suggest Bien as a possible swinger with Notforpublication in a very open race, and I think Cantabro will win again - but not a lot of value at 14/10 imo
