Vincent Ho should win the BMW Hong Kong Derby aboard Rocket Spade with odds 15/1. The horse loves this distance range having won G1 New Zealand Derby and G2 Avondale Guineas over 2400m & 2100m respectively a year ago. On both occasions blinkers were fitted and in todays derby blinkers were refitted. Money Catcher also came 2nd in both these races in New Zealand and should give sight after showing massive improvement in Hong Kong Classic behind California Spangle, is the main danger. I can never be confident enough but I'm putting everything i have on this horse.

The whole card was made in hell, it might be bloodbath throughout the meeting. I don't even trust Purton's ride Voyage Bubble with the shortest odds the whole card.
