Airlander 10, the world's longest aircraft, has crashed during its second ever flight.

The 92 metre-long, part blimp hybrid was filmed hitting the ground near its Bedfordshire airbase. The craft, which is built by Hybrid Air Vehicles, can be seen slowly dropping back to Earth – nose first. After its nose touches the ground the rest of the helium-filled aircraft can be seen gradually dropping.

"We're debriefing following the second test flight this morning. All crew are safe and well and there are no injuries," Hybrid Air Vehicles posted to its Facebook page following the flight. Although, it is believed the aircraft's cockpit was damaged by the fall from the skies.

"The flight went really well and the only issue was when it landed," the spokesperson told the BBC.
