TAB has launched an exciting new soccer bet - MegaStrike 10. And there’s a huge $50,000 add-in to boost the inaugural pool, which closes at 14:30.
MegaStrike is similar in some respects to Soccer 10 in that it comprises 10 matches and has a R2 betting unit.
But the huge difference is that the bet is based on players and not teams. To win, customers must predict how many goals each of 10 players (labelled P1 to P10) will score in designated soccer matches. There are three result options: 1 = Player scores no goals; 2 = Player scores 1 goal; 3 = Player scores 2 goals or more.
As with TAB’s other soccer bets, single or multiple entries can be played. If nobody forecasts all 10 scores correctly, the pool is carried forward.
MegaStrike bets must be called to a teller if played at a TAB. Call the bet as follows: MegaStrike 10, Track Key 52 and then your choices for each player.
It must be noted that players are deemed to have participated in a game if they start the match or are substituted onto the field during the normal 90-minute playing period plus any additional time that may be played.
If a player participates in a match and then leaves the field for any reason, they are deemed to have played. If a player has not participated in a match at all, all possible score results for that player apply for the purposes of calculating a dividend.
Only goals, including penalties, scored by players during the normal 90-minute playing period plus any added time qualify in determining the official result. Own goals and goals scored in extra time or penalty shootouts do not count.
