Now that was a great ride...horse looked beaten a few times up the straight (not just by the favourite who was leading but also other horses) but jockey kept at it...

With 14 punts from the Big T and Meydan I had zero winners 🤫. And I didn’t even back the World Cup and Manobo’s race, thank heavens. In 45 years of racing I think I now much prefer the jumps.

And I do know that only I am accountable but I do question some riding judgements though. From the best jockeys too. Superman should have been there (Meydan), the results would have been different.

It's time for change Mac. Never in the wildest dreams would I have foreseen that the Greyhound Racing will be the main interest now going forward.
Less stress about poor placement of horses, not bringing a horse with a well timed run, even the Harness racing is not up to scratch with horses deep in the red getting rolled too often nowadays.
With the dogs it's.... Open the traps and go.
All over in 30 seconds.

After the punters tire from the dogs it’s virtual racing and dogs, then virtual football and wait for it, virtual motor car racing. Yes that’s available

I remember a dog who hit the global news in the 80’s. His name Ballydoyle Bob. Anyone know?

Yes. With Tabgold and Gold Circle we are commingling into Oz pools every day.
They take in 3 to 4 venues every day from Oz with each venue having from 8 to 12 races per day.
All Win, Place, Trifecta, Quartet, Exacta betting in every race and 2 Quaddie Jackpots from Race 1 to 4, then from 5 to 8.
Gallop Tv shows the races live though not all the venues.
Tabtouch gives all the dividends within a minute of the finish.

Ballyregan Bob, they used to show him race on prime time TV he was a World Record Breaker for consecutive wins (30 odd i think)

Unfortunately there was no youtube in those days so the footage is all pretty shitty

BallyREGAN. 😊
Why don’t we race horses flat out? What would happen if we race horses without jockeys? Should a jockey’s only purpose be to enter the the gates and to return him to the stable after the race, like safety reasons?
